Badrinath Movie Review – Badrinath Review – Badrinath Rating, talk, Telugu Movie Review: Allu Arjun's latest movie badrinath raised so many expectations due to its package and publicity. The film looked like a blockbuster written all over it. Even the makers confidence suggested the same. With aggressive publicity Badrinath is surrounded by huge hype and the expectations continued to scale new heights by the day. So, is it up to the expectations? Did it live up to the hype? Let's uncover Badrinath review...
Story:
Badri (Allu Arjun) is one of the disciples of Bheeshma (Prakash Raj), who is a guru of ancient martial arts. Badrinath grows up into a strong fighter under Bheeshma's rigorous training. He will be appointed as the 'kshetra palakudu' (protector) of Badrinath temple. Alakananda (Tamanna), an atheist comes to Badrinath along with her grandfather. Badri learns that she is in big trouble due to Sarkar (Kelly Dorjee). Alakananda slowly realizes the greatness of Badrinath and turns a devotee. She also falls for Badri who doesn't reciprocate to her love. Bheeshma decides to make Badri his successor by handing over the responsibility of Takshasila. For that Badri has to remain bachelor forever. Not aware of his guru's decision and Alakananda's real feelings towards him Badri gives her a word that he will help her to visit Barinath temple again as she has to do that to make her wish come true. Alakananda prays Lord Badrinath to help her succeed in her love. Bheeshma takes a word from Badrinath that he would take up his duties as a true successor to him. So who wins? How does Badrinath overcomes this contrasting situation?
Analysis:
Badrinath starts on a bright note. The introduction of temples and the visuals are splendid. But immediately it takes a predictable path with some poorly etched characters and scenes. You will hardly find Badrinath being troubled in the training. The training process looks just ordinary. The confrontation between hero and heroine is regular. Nothing new or interesting. The film moves on with a silly flashback episode revealing the troubles of heroine. From then on the movie moves on with a sole reason, that is to find the interval point.
In between there is a fight where Badri goes and kills tens of terrorists with his sword. He simply evades all the bullets with a swing of his sword. It is over the top action which would not be liked by the die hard fans even. Interval episode is too predictable and the action episode goes on for ages during that period. Second half starts on a dull note with hardly any engaging scenes. Song after song follows with a heavily censored fight sequence in between. The film heads to climax with literally nothing happening post interval. Climax is a big let down.
This film is set in current era and that is the biggest logical error as you wouldn't find security and police around Badrinath temple. Even when hundreds of people gets killed there is no sign of police anywhere. The hero goes on a killing rampage in a railway station and the director doesn't care of bringing cops into the scene. Right from the concept of keeping the protagonist as protector to Badrinath temple, this film lacks logic in everything. So called commercial elements didn't work due to weak script.
This film doesn't have any comparisons with Magadheera as the public believed but it has stark resemblance to Shakti movie starring NTR. Like that this film too falls flat on most aspects except for grandeur and a couple of songs.
Performances:
Allu Arjun does the same and speaks like he does in every film despite his awkward costumes and hairstyle. He didn't try to get into the skin of the character as it is no different from his usual roles. His dances are the highlight and probably the only selling factor for this film. Tamanna liberally showed off her skin and helped her part to up the masala dose. Prakash Raj is Okay but his makeup is pretty bad. Kelly Dorjee is wasted and the woman who played his wife is over the top all the time. The man who played their son is a miscast. Raghubabu is regular and repeating Indra's comedy track with Brahmanandam didn't work. Rao Ramesh, Tanikella Bharani didn't have much scope.
Tehnicalities:
Keeravani's songs lack freshness but are good on screen. Thanks to electrifying dances of Allu Arjun. Background score is good but Keeravani failed to recreate his Magadheera magic. Cinematography is good. The visuals of Badrinath stays with you. Art work is fine in parts. Editing is Okay. Story and screenplay written by Chinni Krishna lacks the punch and freshness. Dialogues are mediocre. Action part is another minus as all the fights looked artificial. Production values are good.
VV Vinayak disappoints big time and one cannot completely put blame on him. The problem is with the lackluster script. He couldn't do much with it. He failed in incorporating commercial ingredients too.
Plus Points:
- Badrinath backdrop
- Allu Arjun dances
- Tamanna's glamor
- Few songs
Minus points:
- Story and screenplay
- Over the top action
- Lack of entertainment
- Weak second hour and poor climax
Final Word: Badrinath – This film does justice to the first three letters in its title.
Box office predictions:
Badrinath lets the audience down who go to the movie expecting a magnum opus. Even if you are in for a regular commercial potboiler it fells short of expectations. It may survive in mass centers due to the never ending fights and mass frenzy songs. It needs a miracle to be a break even at the box office.

100% love movie review
Listen Review:
100% Love Movie Review – 100 Percent Love Review – 100% Love Rating, Telugu Movie Review: Director Sukumar has proved that he is not the run of the mill director and always tries to be different from the other directors. He has cult fans and even his flop films have stunning and intelligent scenes that prove his mettle. However, except his debut film Arya, Sukumar didn’t taste commercial success with his other films. But the audience who has high regard for Sukumar as a director never lost their faith in him. His latest film 100% Love is released today and check out the review to know whether he succeeded in delivering a hit or not.
Story:
Balu Mahendra (Naga Chaitanya) is a number one student in his college. Mahalakshmi (Tamanna), his cousin comes to Balu’s house to continue her studies. She is in awe of her Mr. Perfect ‘Bava’ and takes his help to achieve big in studies. Surprisingly, she surpasses him and becomes the first ranker. Balu gets deeply hurt by this and he resorts to cunning ways to deviate Maha Lakshmi. But to his surprise Ajith (Anand) stands first this time. Meanwhile Maha Lakshmi father brings her a match but she doesn’t want to marry him. Balu helps her in getting the match canceled and Mahalakshmi starts deviating Ajith from studies for the sake of Balu. When the couple is heading to fall in love, Maha Lakshmi unknowingly hurts the ego of Balu and they get separated. How they unite forms rest of the story.
Analysis:
100% Love starts with a bang right from the title credits. Sukumar’s creativity is visible in the title designing. This is easily one of the best title credits we have ever seen. Even if you go with zero percent expectations to the movie, the title credits itself will raise your expectations over 80 percent. Sukumar did his best to live up to the expectations in every scene.
Most of the scenes and situations are refreshing. Characterizations are pretty unique too. None of our directors touched this complex angle in the lead man before. Sukumar did a brilliant job with the screenplay but it loses pace as it reaches the interval point. The intermission scene looked out of place but it is vital for the story to take a different path from then on.
Second half is mainly focused on the family values and the virtues of relations. Although the lead man irks you at times with his stupid ideology he makes it up in the scene where he reveals his love to the heroine. In the process of avoiding a predictable climax, Sukumar once again took the eccentric path and the characters starts talking illogically. But by then the film already proves your ticket worth and anything excess is just a bonus.
Performances:
Naga Chaitanya improved from his previous outings but he still needs to improve. His expressions in comedic scenes are not up to the mark. He failed to get the body language right in the drunken scenes. He is sophisticated and gives a feeling that he suits better to certain type of characters.
Tamanna is a good actress and she has proved her mettle yet again. Anand and Tara Alisha are just okay. Naresh is decent and Dharmavarapu’s comedy worked in parts. Most of the star cast consists of new actors and they did well. KR Vijaya and Vijaya Kumar are standard.
Tehnicalities:
Most of the songs were situational and Devi Sri Prasad did a fine job. Dooram Dooram and Infatuation songs stand out. Diyyalo Diyyala lacked punch on the screen. Background score is pretty good. Dialogues are decent without any drama or purposeful rhyming lines. Editing is up to the mark. Cinematography is an asset to the movie. Special care is taken in the detailing and Art department did a wonderful job. Production values are neat. Although the movie is made with a medium budget the producer never compromised on the quality of films.
Plus Points:
- Youthful elements
- Entertaining first half
- Novel approach
Minus points:
- Second half slows down a bit
- Climax is somewhat confusing
Final Word: 100% Love satisfies the targeted audience. Youngsters will fall in love with the film. It will do well in A centers and given its budget it should work on the commercial front too. People who love to watch different movies can give it a try. We have to wait and see if this film has something in it to pull the masses. That seems highly unlikely.

mr.perfect Movie Review
Listen Review:
Mr Perfect Movie Review – Mr. Perfect Review – Mr. Perfect Rating, Telugu Movie Review: Prabhas who bagged a decent hit with his previous film Darling is back again with the same genre of film Mr. Perfect. It is a brand Dil Raju film targeted at families and female audience. Let’s get into the details in Mr. Perfect review…
Story:
Vicky (Prabhas) is a guy who wants to live his life according to his wishes. When his parents fix his marriage with Priya (Kajal), who Vicky feels is a complete mismatch to him. And he rejects the proposal. He finds another girl Maggie (Taapsee) who is identical with his character. But her father (Prakash Raj) says that he is not a perfect groom for his daughter. He challenges that he can impress none with his character and ideology. Vicky takes up the challenge. But does he succeed in it? Find the answer on silver screen.
Analysis:
Mr. Perfect is a film that is developed on a single point that we have to see that everyone around us is happy rather making ourselves happy. Like every Dil Raju film, this one too preaches about the family values and human bonding. Although the basic idea is good the film failed on the execution part.
There are not many heart touching scenes in the film. Every character compromises at one point or the other. Realizations, discussions, relations, experiences… this forms the screenplay of this movie. Everybody gets into preachy mode all the time and bores you to the core. Situations are forced and therefore the film lacked soul. We hardly find any scene which is at least near to ‘perfect’, leave alone perfect.
Saying so, it is for family audiences who don’t mind watching same old dramatic scenes time and again. If you are game for clichéd formulaic films, then Mr. Perfect is just for you. If you are looking for freshness in theme and characterizations then two hours boredom is guaranteed.
The film falls short on comedy aspect too. Brahmanandam and Raghu Babu try too hard to make you laugh. The protagonist’s arguments about a perfect life are pretty confusing. He actually compromises every time but people around him say that he has not compromised and was correct! Phew!!
Another biggest drawback is the pace of the film. It is snail paced and lacks energy. Scenes during the climax drag with too many conversations. On a whole, Mr. Perfect has too many defects. Only the formulaic presentation and family drama should help it to sustain at the box office.
Performances:
Prabhas performance is fine. He did his best to pull off a character which is low on energy. Actually, this role didn’t suit his persona. Prabhas is best when he is active and energetic. Uttering pages of dialogs and using less muscle isn’t his forte. Kajal looked good in few scenes and bad in few. Inconsistent makeup is the main drawback. Her performance is good though. May be she is getting typecast these days.
Taapsee is Okay. She dubbed in her own voice. Prakash Raj did this type of role in every alternate film. He looked bored. Murali Mohan and K. Vishwanadh scare you every time they open their mouth. They keep on preaching moral values of life.
Brahmanandam is routine and Raghubabu is loud. There is nothing much to say about the remaining star cast.
Tehnicalities:
None of the songs are good on ears. Devi Sri Prasad’s tunes lacked novelty and energy. Background score is partly good. Editing by Marthand K. Venkatesh is standard. Cinematography by Vijay Chakravarthy is fine. Dialogs written by Abburi Ravi are good in parts. One can notice that he is just rephrasing Trivikram’s dialogs.
Director Dasarath once again failed to recreate his Santosham magic. This film is heavily inspired from many hit films and Dasarath simply relies on formulaic scenes and content to score a hit. This film doesn’t do any good for him as there is not a single scene that has shown director’s brilliance.
Plus Points:
- Family drama
- Few entertaining scenes in the first half
Minus points:
- Boring screenplay
- Preachy dialogs
- Dragging second half
Final Word: Mr. Perfect is a clichéd film which is targeted at holiday crowds. It might work on the commercial front but the content is very poor. Go for it if you don’t mind watching same old family drama yet again.
